all the trees will clap their hands

what a strange weekend! can i get an Amen?
went to Moravian Falls for Helser Worship night on friday. Saturday i had coffee with Kyle who i hadn’t seen in a couple months. treat.
Today woke up too late to go to church so i just made myself a large breakfast: 2 eggs, bowl of frosted mini wheats(off-brand of course), OJ, and raspberries. Next was Espresso News where i found myself sitting in the farthest upstairs corner in a nook i discovered. its always been there but no one has ever considered it “sitting material”. even got asked by a nice bearded face if i would join him at his table… thoroughly enjoying my hibernation I responded: “Oh, thanks but I really enjoy sitting on the floor”
though the wind pried with its stiff fingers

“Did you too see it, drifting, all night, on the black river?
Did you see it in the morning, rising into the silvery air -
An armful of white blossoms,
A perfect commotion of silk and linen as it leaned
into the bondage of its wings; a snowbank, a bank of lilies,
Biting the air with its black beak?
Did you hear it, fluting and whistling
A shrill dark music – like the rain pelting the trees – like a waterfall
Knifing down the black ledges?
And did you see it, finally, just under the clouds -
A white cross Streaming across the sky, its feet
Like black leaves, its wings Like the stretching light of the river?
And did you feel it, in your heart, how it pertained to everything?
And have you too finally figured out what beauty is for?
And have you changed your life?”

…
I have too many words inside my little head to chose which would be enjoyable to read.

to do list
and the list goes on. Its currently 3am on a wednesday morning. Apparently I have chosen to ignore my recent adult like habit of shutting down past 11pm and giving in to my bed. Maybe its because I surpassed my baked goods quota for the day, or the fact that the nice bearded espresso news employee gave me a GIANT coffee mug (that i filled twice).

Well , Fitzgerald is now looking at the clock and calling my name rather loudly.
thunder hill
oh how the week has flown by. spent the afternoon with 12 of my friends at the top of thunder hill. we drank mexi-cokes, did cheerleading moves, and climbed trees.
Friday, I took some fotos of ArtSociety. here is one of them. Also did engagement photos for Taylor & Adam. those should appear on here in the near future :)
that little empty portion of the woods is next to Danny’s house. some day i’d like to have a party in the woods, at sunset. hang lights from some trees, maybe the next time Spring knocks on the door.
potential
my mind along with my expectations were completely blown away last night. so many things have been hiding in the cracks waiting to come out. it took the obedience of one of His kids for Him to just lavish this community with love. There is so much happening in my heart. we have so much potential and such a huge inheritance

cultivate
this weekend has been such a treat. It was as if not one moment was spent alone. The Lord is moving here in this community. We have been ready for it, and He is so faithful.

the leaves are falling
Did a couple photoshoots and second shot a wedding this week. Then I realized man, life as a photographer is fun.

James and Carley are recently engaged and asked me to do their engagement photos! Of course, I happily agreed and had alot of fun doing it. James and i dated for a few years in highschool. isnt that funny!
winter is creeping in
today has been so good.
Some of the highlights included: not leaving the house (minus taking out the trash), plotting a MaryNicole reunion trip overseas (Special guest LEE!!), Hannah Montana marathon w/Becca, finally having time to clean my room & vaccum, and B for D (breakfast for dinner).

Winter is creeping up to Boone. which means heating bills… good news is the apartment tenants above and beside us turned on their heat!
Will Not turn it on until my feet turn blue… let the countdown begin! slipper time!
